Marking the successful completion of the inaugurating Pre-novitiate language training programme, an award ceremony was held at the provincial house of Don Bosco, Dungalpitiya.
14 pre-novitiate trainees who completed the course were awarded the certificates during the elegant event. The four months intensive and total –immersion English Language course saw the trainees improve their English Language proficiency in all the four skills to reach the CEFR levels of A2, B1 and B2 based on their performance. The course was conducted using the Blended Approach to language teaching consisting of both computer-based learning through DynEd courseware and teacher meeting sessions. In addition to syllabus-based language learning activities for development of four skills aimed at development of both fluency and accuracy, many language- related extra-curricular activities were part of the progamme.
The ceremony was held under the auspices of the Rev. Fr. Joseph Almeida, the Provincial Superior and Rev. Br. Gabriel Garniga, Project Director from Don Bosco Sri Lanka and the academic operations team of HLS (Headway Learning Solutions) .
